EAACheck Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 2025
These Terms & Conditions explain how you can use the EAACheck platform, what to expect from us, and what we expect from you in return.
By using our website or services, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
EAACheck is a digital tool operated by Simple Code d.o.o., a Croatian company focused on helping businesses meet the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (EAA).
2. What we offer
EAACheck allows users to:
- Scan websites for accessibility issues
- Get reports that explain what to fix
- Ask for help or contact experts about EAA-related issues
We offer free automated scans and optional paid support to fix problems.
3. How the service works
You can enter a website URL to check it for accessibility issues. Based on what we find, we'll generate a report showing problems, why they matter, and what to fix.
You can also contact our team through a form to ask questions or request help.
All reports are generated automatically and based on current accessibility guidelines (like WCAG and EAA).
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the platform for its intended purpose: checking your website or helping others improve theirs.
You must not:
- Try to misuse or overload the service
- Scan domains you do not own or have no right to test
- Try to access system features you weren't given
- Use the platform for illegal or harmful purposes
If you break these rules, we may block access or report the abuse.
5. Accuracy and limits
We do our best to provide useful, accurate information, but:
- Automated scans may not find every issue
- Some fixes require human review or developer input
- We are not responsible for your compliance unless we have a signed agreement for paid support
Free reports are for general guidance. Final compliance is your responsibility.
6. Using our reports
You're free to use the accessibility reports for your own internal needs, including compliance planning or sharing with your developers.
However, you may not:
- Copy, resell, or redistribute reports or scan results without permission
- Claim EAACheck's findings as your own product
- Misrepresent what the report says
7. Support and paid help
If you need help resolving accessibility issues, we offer direct support for a fee. These services are provided under separate agreements with clear pricing, scope, and timelines.
All free scans are offered "as-is," with no guarantee of support unless agreed.
8. Privacy and personal data
We collect only the data needed to generate reports or respond to support requests. This may include your email address, name, and the site URL you scan.
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we store it, and how we protect your information.
9. Intellectual property
All content, designs, and technology used on EAACheck belong to Simple Code d.o.o.
You may not copy, reverse engineer, or use our code, designs, or content without written permission.
10. Downtime and changes
We do our best to keep the service running smoothly, but we can't promise that it will always be available.
We may change or update the platform at any time, including features, layout, or how scans work.
11. Termination
You can stop using the service at any time.
We may suspend or block access if we believe the platform is being misused or if terms are violated.
12. Liability
We are not liable for:
- Any issues caused by relying only on free scan results
- Losses caused by non-compliance unless we had a paid agreement to resolve the issue
- Third-party links, tools, or content outside our platform
All free tools are used at your own risk.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by Croatian law. If there's a legal dispute, it will be handled by courts in Zagreb, Croatia.
